This one is especially handy when you want that familiar ranch flavor without reaching for a packet.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup coarse sea salt or kosher salt
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley
  • 1 tablespoon dried dill
  • 1 tablespoon dried chives
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Add all the ingredients to a small bowl or jar.
  2. Stir or shake until everything is evenly combined.
  3. For a finer texture, pulse briefly in a spice grinder or food processor.
  4. Transfer to a clean, completely dry jar with a tight-fitting lid.

Store in a cool, dry place away from moisture. For the best flavor and texture, use within six months.

How to Use Ranch Seasoning Salt

This homemade seasoning is good for so much more than dressing!

  • Roasted potatoes: Sprinkle over potatoes before roasting.
  • Vegetables: Add to roasted broccoli, carrots, zucchini, or green beans.
  • Chicken: Use as a dry seasoning before baking or grilling.
  • Popcorn: Sprinkle lightly over freshly popped popcorn.
  • Deviled eggs: Add a pinch to the filling.
  • Homemade ranch dip: Stir a little into sour cream and adjust to taste.
  • Salads and wraps: Use it to season chicken or vegetables for an easy lunch.

Because this blend contains salt, start with a small amount and adjust to taste.
