This lemon dill herb salt is especially good when you want something fresh and bright without having to chop a bunch of herbs every time you cook.
The combination of dill, lemon, garlic, and salt is wonderful on fish, roasted vegetables, potatoes, eggs, salads, and homemade breads.
It’s also a simple little jar to tuck into a homemade pantry or give as a homemade gift.

Ingredients
- ½ cup coarse sea salt
- 2 tablespoons dried dill
- 1 tablespoon dried lemon zest
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
How to Make Lemon Dill Herb Salt
Add the sea salt, dried dill, lemon zest, garlic powder, parsley, and black pepper to a small bowl.
Stir everything together until the herbs and seasonings are evenly distributed throughout the salt.
For a finer herb salt, pulse the mixture a few times in a food processor or spice grinder.

You don’t want to turn it completely into a powder—just break down the herbs and zest a little so the flavors are distributed more evenly.
Transfer the finished herb salt to a clean, airtight jar. Label it and store it in a cool, dry pantry.
How to Use Lemon Dill Herb Salt
This is one of those homemade seasonings that can go on just about anything.
Try it on:
