1 c. purple cabbage, finely chopped (optional)
(or 2 bags store bought shredded cabbage)
Dressing:
1/2 c. mayonnaise
1/4 c. buttermilk
1 1/2 tsp. white vinegar
2 1/2 tsp. lemon juice
1/3 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. ground black pepper
1/4 c. milk
Place the shredded cabbage and grated carrots in a large serving bowl. In a smaller bowl, whisk together dressing ingredients, and then pour over cabbage, mixing well.
Refrigerate for several hours before serving to give the flavors time to blend. This coleslaw will keep for several days in the refrigerator.
